The Royal Albert Hall, a silver and enamelled openwork badge, frontal elevation of hall picked out in several colours, ROYAL ALBERT HALL on scroll to sides, STERLING SILVER stamped on the back, 51 x 38mm. Very fine, the enamelling of excellent quality and detail, very rare; with clip and ring for suspension (£50-70)

Of uncertain age; the workmanship has a definite ‘Victorian’ appearance though it must post-date 1871, the year that the Albert Hall was opened. Detail of the centre of the badge is enlarged in the illustration
