Divisional Commander’s Parchment Certificate For Gallant Conduct and Devotion to Duty:
‘On 25th, 26th and 27th March, 1918, at Lihons, Rosieres and Caix Private Wright worked exceedingly well and was extremely cool under shell fire. His example of devotion to duty under difficult circumstances was a great encouragement to others.’
William Joseph Frederick Thomas Wright served during the Great War with the 25th (1/2 Wessex) Field Ambulance, Royal Army Medical Corps (T.F.) on the Western Front from 5 November 1914.
