Anglo-Saxon, late 6th century, a gilt-bronze cruciform shaped mount, a central discoid with garnet (replacement) with four projecting square arms and decorated with chipped carved spirals between S-motifs within an upturned rim, three studs behind for attachment, 49 x 4mm. About extremely fine with 90% of the gilding present. £1,500-£2,000
M. O’Bee Collection, acquired in the 1980s, believed to have been found in Lincolnshire.
