Anglo-Saxon, a gilt-bronze saucer Brooch, 6th century, with an angular rim, chip carved design with a central ring and dot motif encircled by radial lines forming a rosette, further enclosed by two concentric rings. Around the perimeter is a border of basketry ornament, 36mm diameter, height 12mm. Hinge and catch plate behind with rust traces of the iron pin, very fine with a smooth olive green patina. £200-£300
Found at Eccles villa in Kent in the 1990s
