Roman Imperial Coinage, Augustus (27 BC-AD 14), Denarius, Lugdunum, 2 BC-AD 4, caesar avgvstvs divi f pater patriae around laureate head of Augustus right, rev. c l caesar[–] in exergue, [–] cos desig princ ivvent around Gaius and Lucius Caesar standing front, each togate and resting hand on shields, behind each is a spear upright, in field between simpulum left and lituus right, 3.66g/6h (Ghey 372.23, this coin; BMC 519-35; RIC 207; RSC 43). Graffito ‘X’ to obverse beneath Augustus’ chin, fine £60-£80
