A pair of Swiss gold and enamel boxes, possibly Geneva, circa 1800, of squat cylindrical form, decorated in translucent blue enamels against an engine-turned ground, the hinged lids similarly enamelled, with white enamel stringing edged within a half pearl border, unmarked, contained in fitted grained red leather case, the cover with presentation inscription ‘Golden Wedding A.F. = E.L. 1868 June 25th 1918’, dimensions: height 22.5 x diameter 25mm.
