Edith Mary Mitchell (née Moore) was born in 1912 and voluntarily enlisted for home service in the Women’s Auxiliary Air Force in 1940. She married Flight Sergeant H. D. R. Mitchell on 15 March 1958 in Epping, Essex, and was later awarded the L.S.G.C. Medal in AMO 505 of June 1961.
