A sapphire and diamond brooch, circa 1930, the pierced lozenge-shaped brooch set throughout with a combination of old brilliant-cut and baguette-cut diamonds, to a central step-cut sapphire, the pin with French assay mark, total diamond weight approximately 8.00 carats, length 5.5cm.

According to a verbal report from GCS, the sapphire is of Basaltic origin with no indications of heating. Verbal report number 5783-3747.
