Rodwell Davey was commissioned Lieutenant, from the rank of Warrant Officer Class II, Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, on 21 December 1945, and was awarded his Long Service and Good Conduct Medal in February 1949. He was advanced Major on 26 March 1956, and was placed on the Retired Lit on 25 October 1959.
