Donald J. E. MacGregor attested for the Army Service Corps and served during the Great War on the Western Front from 15 November 1915. For his services he was both Mentioned in Despatches and awarded the Meritorious Service Medal. He was discharged Class ‘Z’ Reserve on 22 July 1919.
