Royal Highlanders (The Black Watch) Officers Shoulder Belt Plate c.1850-81.
Rectangular gilt seeded back plate with raised rim, mounted with silver star of the Order of the Thistle, with silver ‘42’ with a gilt circle inscribed with the Order, wreath of thistles surround, the crown above a gilt Sphinx, standard hook and stud fasteners to the rear, sight wear to the gilt mount, otherwise good condition £300-£400
