Nathu Thapa served in the 1st Battalion, 1st King George’s Own Gurkha Rifles (The Malaun Regiment) during the Great War on the Western Front, and was killed in action on 20 December 1914. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Neuve Chapelle Memorial, France.
