O.B.E. London Gazette 13 June 1959: Joseph Clarence Patterson, Esq., lately Procurator Fiscal, Hamilton.

Joseph Clarence Patterson was commissioned temporary Second Lieutenant in the South Staffordshire Regiment on 16 November 1915, and served with them during the Great War on the Western Front. He was appointed to the Procurator Fiscal Services in September 1928.
