A Victorian silver combination vesta and sovereign case, of rectangular form with rounded corners, engraved with scrolling foliate decoration throughout, incorporating a hinged cover to the front opening to reveal a sprung sovereign holder, the case enclosing a toothpick, (lacking accompanying pencil), engraved with Patent No. 4709, maker’s mark possibly ‘W.T’ for William Twigg, Birmingham 1891, monogrammed, with suspensory loop, length 64mm. £70-£100
