Four: Able Seaman W. Glover, Royal Navy, who served with H.M.S. Tiger at the Battles of Dogger Bank and Jutland

William Glover was born in Plymouth, Devon in April 1898. He joined the Royal Navy as a Boy 2nd Class in September 1913, and advanced to Able Seaman in August 1916. Glover served with H.M.S. Tiger, 3 October 1914 - 1 December 1917, and was present at the Battle of Dogger Bank, 24 January 1915, where her Q-turret sustained a direct hit; and the Battle of Jutland, 31 May 1916, where the Tiger was hit a total of 18 times during the battle, and suffered 24 dead and 46 wounded. Glover was Shore Demobilised in November 1919.
