Edward Arthur Butler attested for the Royal Field Artillery and served with the 25th Brigade during the Great War on the Western Front from 16 August 1914. Commissioned Second Lieutenant on 2 August 1915, he subsequently served with the 1/24 Heavy Trench Mortar Battery.
Sold together with the recipient’s cap badge; riband bar; and an Old Contemptibles’ Association lapel badge.
