A cocktail watch by Vacheron Constantin, circa 1940s, the signed cream rectangular dial with gilt Arabic numerals to the quarters, gilt hands, beneath convex glass, within barrel-shaped case secured to the reverse with two screws, between shoulders of baguette-cut synthetic rubies, and similarly set lugs, on later 18ct gold three row polished brick-link strap, clasp with sponsor’s mark LAO and London import marks for 1960, watch head width 20mm, length 15.5cm. £1,800-£2,000
