Capt Eugene Clementi-Smith, DSO (1847-1901), educated at St Paul’s School, London; served first in Canada and later in South Africa, where he received a fatal wound at Harrisburg on 11 September 1901, dying on 4 October. Throughout his service career he had been involved with shooting and the NRA shoot annually for gold, silver and bronze medals in his name
