Edward I (1272-1307), Groat, London, variety b (Fox 6), mm. cross pattée, crown with four crescents carrying pearl ornaments, rosettes by hair and on breast, pelleted trefoils in spandrels, triple-pellet stops, pellet-barred n in dn’s, 5.32g/7h (Allen 28, this coin; SCBI North 6-7; N 1008; S 1379B). Brooch mount removed from obverse, surfaces marked and reverse previously gilt, otherwise fine, very rare £2,000-£2,600
