Indian Mutiny 1857-59, no clasp (Captn. T, A, Corbett. 61st Regt. NI.) good very fine £180-£220

T. A. Corbett was appointed Ensign on 25 July 1848; Lieutenant, 23 December 1845; Brevet Captain, 25 July 1857; Captain, 1 January 1862; Major, 16 January 1864. Served with the Left Wing, 61st Native Infantry, against the insurgents in Bundelcund, in ‘43, ‘44. Served throughout the Mutiny in Bengal in ‘57, in the Punjab, and in the latter part of ‘58 in Central India. Accompanied the 2nd Brigade Saugor Field Force and various Flying Columns in the capacity of Assistant Commissioner during its operations, Jaloun District, and acted on the Staff of the Brigadier Commanding (Medal).
