James Albert Fiddick was born in West Looe, Cornwall in April 1868. He joined the Royal Navy as a Plumber in August 1894. Fiddick served with H.M.S. Highflyer, April 1900 - November 1903, and served at H.M.S. Vivid II as a Plumber 1st Class during the Great War.
