William Walker was born in and enlisted at Oxford. Serving as Battery Quartermaster Serjeant with the 81st Battery, R.F.A., he died on 23 February 1917, aged 32 years. He was buried in Etaples Military Cemetery. He was the only son of Mr and Mrs Walker, of Cowley, Oxford and husband of Maude Walker, of 54 Gordon Road, Harborne, Birmingham.
