Siege of Ladysmith Commemorative Cross, the obverse impressed ‘Siege of Ladysmith P. of L.T.S.’, the reverse impressed ‘2.11.99 H.P.T. 28.2.1900’, 25mm, iron, with small ring suspension, some oxidisation and remnants of silvering, very fine £40-£50
It is believed the ‘P. of L.T.S.’ stands for ‘Piece of Long Tom shell. The 155mm. Creusot Long Tom was a type of French field gun used by the Boers.
