Royal Irish Constabulary Victorian Period Officer’s Sword, the 80 cm slender bright blade by ‘Clones? & Woodward, Dame St., Dublin’, the unfullered blade etched with the crown over the Maid and Harp, scrolling panels of shamrocks with title scrolls ‘Royal Irish’ ‘Constabulary’, crowned ‘VR’ cypher and scrolling foliage, wire bound fish skin grip, triple bar steel hilted hand guard incorporating the crown over a stylised Harp in its brown leather covered steel scabbard, some pitting and rust towards the end of the blade, fastening strap lacking from the leather scabbard otherwise good condition £500-700
