Dublin? C.I.D. Detective Officer’s Cased ID, a WWI Period Frame of Three Badges, a Dublin Police Station Sergeant’s Arm Badge, the case contains a white metal and part enamelled badge of circular outline featuring C.I.D Detective Officer and enclosing a central H stamped 4, above a demi rising sun with a ground of yellow enamel with blackened lettering ‘se’, the outside of the case with an applied brass ‘4’; the frame is mounted on the outside with a brass ‘TC’ (Tank Corps) shoulder title, within the frame a printed Union flag arm badge mounted with a blackened metal cap badge of RIC pattern over another cloth div. sign featuring a Lewis machine gun over a diamond these in pink cloth on a black cloth ground; the third item of oval outline featuring the three castle from the Dublin City arms in white embroidery on black cloth stated to have been withdrawn in 1948, the glass on the frame broken in two places otherwise good overall condition (3) £200-300
