Waterloo 1815 (John Vernon, 10th Royal Reg. Hussars.) fitted with original steel clip and ring suspension, contact wear and a little polished, otherwise better than good fine £800-1000

Provenance: Sotheby, June 1906.

John Vernon enlisted into the 10th Hussars on 2 October 1805, and posted to Lord Charles Manners’ Troop. He served in Spain and France from March 1813 to July 1814, and in the Waterloo campaign of 1815, when he served in Captain Grey’s No. 4 Troop. He was discharged on 31 Match 1817.
