Waterloo 1815 (William Ashby, 2nd Batt. 73rd Reg. Foot.) fitted with replacement silver clip and ring suspension, light edge bruising and contact wear, otherwise nearly very fine £2000-2400
William Ashby enlisted into the 73rd Foot on 5 May 1812, a volunteer from the Warwickshire Militia. He served in Captain John M. Kennedy’s No. 4 Company at Waterloo. Captain Kennedy himself was killed in action and his medal formed part of the Mackenzie Collection, sold in 1934.
