Territorial Efficiency Medal, G.V.R. (1375 Pte. -A. L. Cpl.- R. G. Kerrison. Norf. Yeo.) with official corrections, extremely fine £70-90
Robert George Kerrison was born in Heigham, Norwich, in 1893, and attested for Territorial Service on 2 May 1912, serving with the 2nd/1st Norfolk Yeomanry (King’s Own Royal Regiment), and subsequently with the 6th (Cyclist) Battalion, Norfolk Regiment. He transferred to the Royal Flying Corps on 21 July 1916, and was posted in October of that year with No. 31 Squadron to India, where the Squadron took part in operations in the Third Afghan War and on the North-West Frontier. He was discharged from the Royal Air Force on 1 January 1919, and subsequently settled in Devon. He died in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, on 11 March 1927, aged 33.
