Henry McClinchie was born in Dublin and attested there for the Connaught Rangers. He served with the 3rd Battalion during the Great War, and was killed in action on the Western Front on 11 November 1914. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial, Belgium.
