Northumberland Fusiliers Volunteer Battalion Officer’s Fur Cap c. 1884-1914, a good quality early period example of brown hue, the frontal badge in silver plate being a fused grenade bearing on the ball the motto ‘Quo Fata Vocant’ enclosing St. George slaying the Dragon, red over white cut feather side hackle, silver plated graduated chin chain, black leather sweat band, the frontal badge adorned with a period St. George’s Day double rose (red and white) in cut linen, some fur loss near the side hackle area otherwise good overall condition for its age £500-700
