Benwell & Weymouth Volunteers Medal 1802, an oval engraved medal with wide single stepped border, 65mm x 45mm, silver (indistinct hallmarks), the obverse featuring a crowned ‘GR’ cypher with legend ‘Benwell & Weymouth Volunteers’ above, ‘Target Prize 2nd Compy,’ below, the reverse inscribed ‘The Award of Merit & Skill in Firing, from Capt. Weymouth. Won by Pte. E. J. Barker’, the broad rim engraved with date ‘August 2. 1802’, nearly very fine £160-200
