Arthur Russell Bedwell attested for the Royal West Surrey Regiment at Deptford, Kent, and served during the Great War with the 1st Battalion. He died of wounds on the Western Front on 26 October 1918, and is buried in Awoingt British Cemetery, France.
Robert Holmes was born in Leeds, Yorkshire, and attested there for the Lancashire Fusiliers. He served during the Great War with the 11th Battalion, and was killed in action on the Western Front on 28 May 1918. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Soissons Memorial, France.
Thomas Taylor was born in Seaham Harbour, Co. Durham, and attested for the Royal Garrison Artillery at Sunderland. Transferring to the East Surrey Regiment, he served during the Great War with the 7th Battalion, and died of wounds on the Western Front on 31 October 1915. He is buried in Bethune Town Cemetery, France.
C. R. Carter served during the Great War with the 46th Battalion, Canadian Infantry (Saskatchewan Regiment), and died on the Western Front on 28 September 1918. He is buried in Haynecourt British Cemetery, France.
