Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 2 clasps, Defence of Ladysmith, Orange Free State (3799 Pte. F. Belcher, Glouc. Regt.) nearly very fine £100-140
F. Belcher served with the Gloucestershire Regiment during the Boer War - the regiment lost some 593 officers and men during the siege of Ladysmith through various causes, the majority as Prisoners of War. He subsequently served as a Colour Sergeant in the Bedfordshire Regiment during the Great War, and his name is recorded on the Great War Memorial in Kensal Green Cemetery, London.
