Indian Mutiny 1857-59, 1 clasp, Lucknow (Lt. A. W. Brodhurst, 2nd Eurn. Lt. Cavy.) light contact marks, otherwise good very fine £500-600

Arthur Westby Brodhurst was appointed a Cornet in the 2nd Bengal European Cavalry on 24 June 1857. He was attached to the 2nd Dragoon Guards (Queen’s Bays), in Sir J. Outram’s division, at the siege and capture of Lucknow, March 1858, and during the subsequent operations in Oude. He was promoted to Lieutenant in the 20th Hussars on 18 May 1858, to Captain on 30 May 1868, and retired by sale of his commission on 13 November 1872.
