A Great War ‘Egyptian theatre’ M.M. awarded to Private C. Hart, Army Cyclist Corps

Colin Hart was born in Troon, Ayrshire, in 1895, and attested for the 1/1st Lowland Divisional Cyclist Company (52nd Divisional Cyclist Company) on 23 December 1912. He served during the Great War in Egypt with 52nd Divisional Cyclist Company, Army Cyclist Corps, from 6 June 1915, and was reported as wounded in The Scotsman (15 May 1917), prior to being awarded the Military Medal in July 1917. He was serving with 1st Company, Army Cyclist Corps when he transferred to the Labour Corps and was discharged on account of wounds on 5 April 1919 (entitled to a Silver War Badge).
