Royal Army Medical Corps Volunteers Officer’s Victorian Period Blue Cloth Helmet, a good quality example, the blue cloth body complete with all silver plated fittings, the frontal plate of Royal Arms pattern wth tri-part scroll ‘Royal Army Medical Corps’, buff leather sweat band with pink silk lining, together with its japanned metal carrying tin this with brass plaque ‘Lieut. B. Riddell, V.R.A.M.C’, the helmet tin contains a knapped flint for use on flintlock weapons, the chin chain would appear to be that from an 1869 pattern shako and has one link distorted otherwise very good overall condition £400-600
