Pair: Private R. Pinhey, Royal Marine Light Infantry

Baltic 1854-55 (104 Co. Robert Pinhey. R.M.L.I.) fixed suspension; China 1857-60, 1 clasp, Canton 1857 (104 Co. Robert Pinhey. R.M.L.I.) both contemporarily engraved by the same hand, last with top lugs, contact marks overall, therefore nearly very fine (2) £260-300

Robert Pinhey was born in Kingsbridge, Devon, and attested for the Royal Marine Light Infantry at Plymouth, in July 1854. His service included with H.M. ships Cornwallis, February 1853 - August 1856, Clown, March 1857 - December 1860 and the Royal Adelaide, January 1860 - December 1862. He was discharged 1 March 1864, having served 9 years and 243 days (the above medals and clasp being his full entitlement).
