Catherine J. Hudson enrolled as a V.A.D. member on 1 October 1912. During the Great War she performed kitchen work at Beech House Auxiliary Military Hospital in N.W. London, 15 March 1915-3 April 1916. After which she performed nursing duties at the Kensington General Hospital, 3 May-20 December 1916; worked as a Sister’s Orderly at The King George Hospital, 27 July 1917-15 September 1918 and then worked as a Laboratory Assistant at the Queen Alexandra Hospital, Millbank, 18 October 1918-10 March 1919.
