A beautifully coloured Illuminated Address from the Mayor and Corporation of Pietermaritzburg, Natal, welcoming Sir George on his return to the city, it refers to the part played by the Natal Carabineers, Border Mounted Rifles, ‘Hotchkiss Field Force’, Natal Volunteers and Imperial Light Horse, dated 8 March 1900, approx. 93.5 x 60cm., the document rolled in a maroon leather cover and contained in original japanned tin tube, very good condition £300-500
