Adjutant General’s Corps (Provost Branch).
In 1992 the Royal Military Police became the Adjutant General’s Corps (Provost Branch) and its medals became so designated. In 1995 it was realised that the all important ‘Royal Military Police’ designation had been lost from its medals and to rectify this its medals became designated ‘Adjutant General’s Corps (Royal Military Police)’. Thus the abbreviation ‘AGS (Pro)’ was in use for only a few years.
