Regt.) with bronze brooch bar inscribed, ‘Staffordshire 1909’, note variation in spelling of surname and initials, very fine and better (5) £140-180

Sergeant William Charles Wakley, 2nd/6th Battalion North Staffordshire Regiment, later served in the Liverpool Regiment. With copied m.i.c. Also with a typed letter from the Staffordshire County Rifle Association confirming Wakley and another were winners of the National Rifle Association Bronze Medal, competed for at Sedgeley Park on 22 June 1908. With North Staffordshire Regiment cap badge.
