Private George Allan Pierce, Liverpool Regiment, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 24 February 1915. He received a commission in the regiment on 6 March 1919. With original group photograph and Will; with copied m.i.c. and roll extracts.

Frank Lucas Evans was born on 22 April 1893. He enlisted on 19 September 1910. With the Manchester Regiment he served in Egypt, September 1914 and Gallipoli, May-October 1915. In October 1915 he was promoted to Corporal for ‘Gallantry in the Field’. Placed with an Officer Cadet Battalion in July 1916, he was commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the 11th Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers in October 1916. After service in France, January-April 1917, he was advanced to Lieutenant in October 1917. Appointed 2nd Lieutenant in the I.A.R.O., being attached to the 2/8th Rajputs. Attached to the 1/117th Maharattas in October 1918. Promoted to Lieutenant in May 1919 and released from service in May 1919; demobilised in November 1919. With copied m.i.c. and service notes.
