Private William Hunter, Royal Irish Rifles, from Belfast, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 4 October 1915. As a Sergeant serving with the 16th Battalion, he died of wounds on 29 April 1918. He was buried in Holywood Cemetery, Co. Down.
