Philip James Webster was born in Close Abbey, near Enniskillen, Co. Clare c.1848. A Labourer by occupation he attested for the 36th Regiment at Enniskillen in July 1862. Served in the 13th L.I. from 1876. Served as a Bandsman, 1879-83. Served in India, 1863-75 and South Africa, 1877-79. Discharged to a pension, his intended place of residence being 1 Hampton Place, Plymouth, Devon.
