King’s South Africa 1901-02 (2), 2 clasps (606 Cpl. P. Chapman, Bethune’s M.I.; 264 Pte. T. S. Nicholson, Natal Mtd. Infy.) very fine (2) £120-160

Chapman served in Bethune’s Mounted Infantry, 14 November 1899-22 March 1901. Entitled to the Q.S.A. with clasps for Transvaal, Relief of Ladysmith, Tugela Heights and Laing’s Nek.

The Natal Mounted Infantry served in Northern Natal from February 1902. Nicholson earned his Q.S.A. with clasps for Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal, Tugela Heights, Relief of Ladysmith and Laing’s Nek with the Imperial Light Infantry (403). Was wounded at Spion Kop, 24 January 1900. He also served with the Prince of Wales’ Light Horse (31406) and Waldron’s Scouts (1521). With copied roll extracts.
