Captain Fred Guy (307045) was born on 28 September 1913 (not confirmed). Enlisted in the Regular Army, c.1931. As a Cadet he was appointed a 2nd Lieutenant in the Royal Regiment of Artillery on 14 January 1944 (London Gazette 15 February 1944). To School of Anti-Aircraft Artillery, 14 July 1944; Instructor in Gunnery 28 August 1945; Temporary Captain, 28 November 1945; Captain, R.A. (T.A.), with pay as Adjutant 11 July 1947; Captain (SSC) 5 May 1949 (with seniority from 5 September 1947). Awarded Long Service and Good Conduct Medal (Military), as Captain, R.A. (London Gazette 23 June 1950) (date of qualification 25 July 1949). Retired 1957. He is believed to have died in Pontefract in 1997. With some copied research.
