With a silver cigarette case, inside of lid inscribed, ‘A Token of esteem to W. Bro. J. M. Lees P.M. from Masonic Brethren at Brockhouse Sport Ltd. Dec. 23 / 1944 H. to m. S. to p. H. to m. again’, 98 x 82mm., hallmarks for Birmingham 1943; together with a portrait photograph of Lees in uniform at the time of the Boer War and another in later life, wearing masonic insignia as Grandmaster of the Lodge at Southport. Also with copied Q.S.A. medal roll extract and m.i.c.
