Private Clarence Dorkins, 7th Battalion Royal Irish Rifles, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 20 December 1915. When serving with the 2nd Battalion Hampshire Regiment, he died of wounds on 15 June 1918, aged 19 years. He was buried in the Ebblinghem Military Cemetery, Nord, France. He was the son of Edith Jane Dorkins, of 10 Union Court, Union Street, St. Heliers, Jersey, Channel Islands, and the late Charles Dorkins.
