Ex Baldwin’s Auction, November 2001, Lot 463, from the collection of specimen medals formed by Melvill Allan Jamieson, the noted authority on North American Indian Chief Medals. Note that the clasp is one struck specially by the Royal Mint at the end of the nineteenth century and differs from the issued clasp, being a little narrower and with the month in full.
