Goeorge Monument was born in Hull, Yorkshire on 3 August 1850. Served on Eclipse, January 1880-September 1883 and on Tyne, January 1885-March 1888. Pensioned ashore, 15 May 1890 having attained the rank of Petty Officer 1st Class in February 1880.
